Actually, it's a forestry machine, a large specialized tractor that fells, de-limbs, and stacks trees which will later be transported to the sawmills.

I was looking at the Tulsa County Tax Assessor's web site at old photos - and found this current picture of a special house... it's the house where I grew up. My parents moved us there in 1949 when I was 4 years old. The house is still there; our very own elm tree is still in the front yard at the right, barely visible. The happiest thing that I see is the now tall fir tree in the back yard, our 1957 living Christmas tree, planted in a little ceremony by my dad in honor of my 13th birthday, on the 29th of December of that year. It's still alive and well. My very own fir tree. I've always known that as long as my tree is there, I'll still be around too.
I hope it stays there a long time. |
